June 18,2010 -What a Day you are!

JUNE 18, 2010
What a DAY you are! You will be remembered!

:)
This was a day when I thought I would just be

getting my SSS no.but here is how it ended up.

By 8am I was walking along Shaw Blvd. to go to

the Pasig Branch of SSS. Unfortunately, the

guard told me that I have to apply directly at

the branch near my residence. What a Sham.

Its it Mandaluyong. The problem with the

geographical setting of Pasig and Mandaluyong

really bugs me (there are times it enthuses

me.:P) . So I asked the guard to how I can I

locate that place and he gave me directions to

ride a jeep which was of course easy since Shaw

Blvd.  is such a long way and that will be my

guide to going there. I took a jeepney ride then

stopped at Jose Rizal University where at the

back of it I can find the SSS mandaluyong

Branch. It was still 9am by then, so I filled out

the form and asked the lady at the counter if I

can get my no. She asked for my Bith Certificate

and I gave her the photocopy of it. That was

the start of a very busy day. She then rejected

the application form saying she needed the

original copy of the BirthCertificate. I was like

”???!!!” Honestly. I tried persuading her since I

really need it by monday but she just told me, “

I said what I said.” Ugh. What an old fag. She’s

not even busy, she could at least try to be more

friendly!

So yes, I sort of panicked and goodthing a

jeepney was there and its destination would be

directly going to our condo. I couldn’t think

straight so I texted my sister Lynn my issue for

the day. I have no Original copy of my Birth

Certificate. She then suggested I go to the

National Statistics Office in  East Ave. (Its near

her job site). I asked her a few more questions.

I was really getting paranoid! I kept asking that

the NSO might ask me to get my copy from a

branch near Mandaluyong or something. But I

have no more time to keep troubling myself. It

was still 10am- I can do this!!! Ran fast as I can,

I took a pedicab then rode the MRT, then

another trike and gosh, I arrived at the NSO by

10:30am!  I asked the guard for guidance and

thank goodness he assisted me how! The next

thing I knew, I got my priority number and yes,

its a STRESS-y one—- (2330). Talk bull. haha! I

filled out the form and stuff, then waited….

waited…. waited…. then finally, it was time to

get the form screened, I went to the tables

where the ladies were screening the forms, and

at the end of that looooong line of attendants,

there was a grumpy old lady, haha, so mid 50’s

I guess. I was too dumbstrucked and still

paranoid after the first incident I got at the SSS

Manda Branch. So I didn’t line at her area but

then she shouted at me “Ayaw mo ba pumila

dito?! WALA kang pinipilahan jan miss, bisita

lang yan sila!” .And damn, another terrifying

moment of my life, another old fag, meanie or

grumpy, you describe. She was mumbling as

she was screening my form. Then off to the

payment area. But the counters stated that they

were still serving numbers 1-2000. F***. 300

people or more to go before me! So I waited…

waited…. waited…. Hallelujiah! it was 11:30am

and finally I got to pay and get my receipt. But

the releasing or claim of the Certificates was still

set at 2:30pm. Bull. So I decided to visit my

niece for lunch. Bought Pizza. And waited. My

sister’s Brother in Law told me that it was easy in

their case when they claimes their SSS no. and

that they didn’t even needed their original Birth

Certificates in order to have their numbers.

Again. Bull. After a few talks and texting with my

Sister and her Brother in Law, I decided to visit

the SSS in East Ave. and I didn’t know why I

even expected the rules of their set-up to be

any different. Because prankly, I was already

fed up with my day. But I have to try. The SSS

East Ave. Branch told me to go to Mandaluyong

Branch. Predictable. So I went straight back to

NSO to claim the copies. I waited and fall in a

weird set of a lining arrangement! It was sooo

unorganized. But evidently, and praise the Lord

the Line was moving. I was almost at the

counter window of the releasing, and

Thousands, I really mean, Thousands of people!

I even saw grumpy ladies ang guards yelling.

Whatta? How primitive. :P

By 2:40pm, finally got my copies and decided to

make a run for it. I would still be able to catch

up with the Mandaluyong branch since it closes

at 5pm. So I ran towards EDSA and rode the

MRT then searched for a jeep going to JRU at

shaw blvd. I was fidgeting a lot. My aim was to

finish this day productively!

There I was, after a long day of knitknots I have

my SSS no. and the girl at the counter wasn’t

the old fag I met earlier. Things were

brightening up. It was 4pm and I’m back home

at the condo.

To make things bitter sweet for me this day.. I

received two text messages from a firm I

applied at 2 wks ago. Why bitter? Because I

already am employed, just yesterday! Damn.

Not a firm though. But they have big clients

such as PAL,Lufthansa and GLOBE. So it was a

big blessing. But as I was reading the text

messages sent to me, how I wish I can attend

this interview. Its a firm. The Architect is known

for his designs. Here’s a Clue. He designed the

‘Bahay Pangarap’ of the Malacanang. His office

is located at Makati. So tell me? Its Bittersweet

right? They contacted me when I’m already

(supposedly) commited to another company.

Darn. Training starts on Monday. And this text

message tells me that I’m scheduled on Monday

too. haha. June 18, 2010- Your such an

Experience! :D
